EnvPubs-L is a mechanism with which members of the environmental science and public policy community may use electronic mail to learn and share information about recent environmental publications, web sites, and related information resources. New environmental information resources are published on an almost daily basis. EnvPubs-L has been established as a current awareness service to help students, researchers, practioners, and librarians keep informed about these publications. EnvPubs-L is different from most other Internet discussion lists in two significant ways: 1. EnvPubs-L is moderated. This means that all messages that are posted to the list are reviewed by the list owner before they are passed along to the other subscribers. This feature ensures that all messages are pertinent to environmental reference questions and answers. 2. By default, EnvPubs-L subscriptions are "digested." This means that subscribers receive at most one message per week that contains a compendium of all the messages posted to the list during the previous week. This feature significantly reduces the amount of e-mail clutter typically associated with Internet discussion lists. Participation in EnvPubs-L is open to all interested parties. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ II. How do I subscribe to EnvPubs-L? Your announcement will be sent to the list as part of the next weekly digest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ IV. Can I access past messages from EnvPubs-L?
